Independence


Hello! This is another tag I made for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - July


May tag is inspired by our Philippine Flag and Independence Day.


For my tag:

1. Cut file folder for the tag. 
2. Adhere book paper page. 
3. Brush with white gesso, let dry.
4. Distress edges using light brown twistable soft crayon.

5. Distress again the edges using brown oil pastel.

6. I made my own heart stencil (sorry I miss the photo here). 
Stencil heart with modeling paste. Let paste dry.
7. Color heart using twistable soft crayon, then brush with water.

8. Stencil stars with yellow acrylic paint. Let dry.
9. Stamp stars using black ink.

10. Add "INDEPENDENCE" using rub-ons.
11. Stamp edges using Tim Holtz Anonymous Stamp.
12. Add ribbons and charm.

Ylang Ylang


Hello! This art journal page I made is a second entry for  Take the Challenge with Mou, July 2015. The challenge is to create any art you like using mainly the color GREEN. I had the chance to journal about my favorite flower and that is Ylang Ylang or Cananga Odorata.

Below are pictures on how I made my page:

1. Cut a 7"x9" file folder.


2. Adhere book paper page.

3. Roughly spread white gesso using pallete knife.

4. Brush green paint.

5. DIY leaf stencil and sponge with white gesso. Let dry.

6. DIY ylang ylang flower with modeling paste. Let dry.

7. Color flowers and stem.

8. Stamp name of flower in black ink and circle in white gesso.

Go Bananas Tag


Hello! This tag I made is an entry for Your Next Stamp Sketch and Color Challenge #18. For my tag, I use this sketch: 

For my tag:
1. Cut a tag from a file folder.
2. Adhere yellow background.
3. Cut a printed scrapbook paper, adhere into the tag.
4. Cut a piece of circle paper, stencil leaves with molding paste, let dry. Then spray green ink.
5. Stamp and color monkey using gel crayons. Cut and adhere to the circle.
6. Stamp and color and adhere "Go Bananas!"
7. Add ribbon.

Mini Art Journal Page 1


Hello! This is the start of a new hobby - draw and color. This page is 3.5"x3.5" mini art book page.
And it is an entry for Take the Challenge with Mou, July 2015. The challenge is to create any art you like using mainly the color GREEN.  

1. Draw a flower.

2. Color using GREEN faber castell water color pencil.

3. Brush with water.

4. Add shades of blue in the upper petals of the flower.

5. Stencil daisy flower with gesso and hand paint background with light blue. 
6. Add pink dots.

Paint the Stars


Hello! This tag I made is an entry for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - July


Here in the Philippines July 4 is a Philippine Republic Day, also known a Filipino-American Friendship Day is a commemoration in the Philippines held annually on July 4. It was formerly an official holiday designated as Independence Day, celebrating Philippine Independence from the United States of America in 1946. 

For my tag, I was inspire to do stars with the color of American flag, which is also the same color with our Philippine flag. And I was also inspire with the quote in which Filipinos are making their own way. 

Below is the steps on how I made my tag.

1. Cut tag from a file folder.

2. Stencil stars and swirls with modeling paste and wait to dry.

3. In a piece of file folder, adhere tissue paper to make texture, once dry stamp stars.

4. Cover tag with book paper page and and paint white gel crayon.

5. Stamp text and then color using red, white and blue gel crayons.


6. Hand paint background using cream, yellow, black, gray and brown gel crayon.

7. Splash white gesso + water.

8. Paint stars with white gesso.

9. Adhere stars and spread glitters.

10. Adhere quote/sentiment. Put ribbon and charms.

11. For the final step, stamp more sentiment into the background.

Life is Good


Hello! This tag I made is an entry for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - June.

Below are the picture on how I made my tag.

1. Trace tag into a file folder and cut. This file folder is 10 years old :) 

Look at the natural mottled background.

2. Distress edges using black and brown twistable silky crayons.

3. Place DIY stencil above the tag and DIY spray light green color pen ink.


4. Cut abaca mat and stamp into a brown ink.

5. Stamp image into the tag. I highlight more diagonal lines using green gel crayon.

6. Color the image.
7. Staple abaca mat.

8. Adhere sentiment. 
9. Place ribbon, safety pin and butterfly charm unto the tag. 
10. Add glitter glue into the hearts.

True Friendship


Hello! I made this True Friendship canvas (My first mixed media in canvas) for my BFF Charlotte on her birthday. Happy Birthday BFF! I love you. 
My choice for the challenge is MMM #3 - Stencils and Paste. 

Below are the steps on how I made my project.

1. Brush gesso on canvas, let dry.

2. Tear book paper page, adhere into the canvas using glue.

3. Stencil stars and swirls with modeling paste.

4. Gesso canvas and let dry.

5. Adhere abaca mat to make more texture.

6. Cut heart and adhere.


7. Finger paint background, use different colors.

8. Put stencil flowers with modeling paste.

9. Meanwhile, stamp sentiment on a white cardstock, color cardstock with blue gel crayons then punch some butterflies.

This is my quote. 

9. Paint stems and leaves.

10. Add quote.

12. Adhere butterflies.


13. Paint more stems using brown paint.

14. Spread some glass bead glitter gel.
