Tri-Fold Card

Take a ready-made tri-fold card and turn it into something unique! This card would make a great get-well or "thingking of you" card for a special person. Subscribing to the "less is more" philosophy of coloring and using simple water-based markers, you can see how just a touch of color brightens it up!

1. Fold the tri-fold card accordion-style and lay it flat. Using black ink, begin stamping flowers in a row that starts in the bottom left corner and proceeds to the top right corner. Vary direction of the flower as you stamp. Fill in the white space on the right side with 2 or more flowers.

2. Cut around the top of the flower, leaving a generous border. Fold the card accordion-style and, int the empty space visible in the center panel, stamp more flowers (this will be on the back of the center panel).

3. Begin adding color to the flowers with the markers. Use only quick "flicks" of color, following the contours of the petals. Start with yellow on about half of the flowers and then add a few lines of orange over the yellow areas.

4. For the other half of the flowers, use pink marker followed by purple. Color all the flower centers with orange, accented with brown. Finally, color in the stems with green.

This card is an entry for CropStop: Challenge #43 - Unique Fold.
